The Waldo
Modern Living in a Historic Space
The Waldo, named after Ralph Waldo Emerson, first opened in 1892. Although we’ve updated the inside, many special historic features remain. The wrought-iron and brass elevator is the oldest operating elevator in the city of cincinnati. The magnificent woodwork, stonework and marble remain. During our renovation in 1998 we carefully restored all the historic detalis and added updated the ammenities.
